Renault Scenic Oasis

01/27/2006

Renault Scenic
Renault has launched an Oasis special edition of its mini-MPV Scenic which is available to order now. This version has already been used in Megane models and Renault is hoping that it will keep the Scenic competitive since the launch of other MPVs into the market.

The Oasis is based on the Expression trim level and offers £1250 of extra equipment for £300 more than the basic price. Extras include the hands-free Renault Card, a 6-CD changer, alarm, electronically folding door mirrors and a fixed glass sunroof.

Optional extras include cruise control with speed limiter for £250, metallic paint for £350, opening tailgate window for £150, parking sensor for £250 and child head restraints for £50 each.

Eight versions of the Oasis are available with five models in the Scenic guise and three for the seven-seat Grand Scenic using four engines and three gearbox combinations. Prices start at £15,920 for the 1.6 VVT 111 Scenic which has combined fuel economy of 39.2mpg, and rise to £19,120 for the 1.9 dCi 130 six-speed FAP Grand Scenic which manages 47.1mpg combined.
