The New Scenic's updated lines include a new front bumper, re-designed headlamps, LED rear lights,new alloy wheels and wheel trims.
Air Conditioning and the panoramic sunroofs are now standard across the range and parking proximity sensors are also available on select models.
Five new body colours have also been introduced. All three equipment levels have been revised and new materials have been selected for their durability ,while the fit and finish quality of the interior has been further enhanced.With its generous carrying capacity and modular seat layout, New Scenic continues to place the emphasis on its forebear's acclaimed practicality
The five- and seven-seat Grand Scenic come with a comprehensive choice of engines ,including two common rail technology diesel engines and three 16-valve petrol engines.
The capacity of the diesel engines extends from 1.5 to 1.9 litres, with power ranging from 85 to 130hp , while the 1.9- version is equipped with a periodic regeneration particulate filter. The three petrol engines, the capacity of which ranges from 1.4 litres to the 2.0 litre , deliver from 100 to 135hp. The list of available transmissions is equally extensive, with a choice of five- and six speed manual gearboxes and a proactive four-speed automatic transmission.
All these engines combine driving pleasure with environmental friendliness thanks to CO2 emissions that are amongst the lowest in this class. For example, the 1.5 dCi 106 6-speed offers some of the greenest credentials in its class, with CO2 emissions of 144 grams per kilometre and an impressive fuel economy of 5.4 L /100km (52.3 miles per gallon) on a combined cycle.
In terms of roadholding and travelling comfort, New Scenic five- and seven-seat Grand Scenic benefit from the same steering and suspension features that helped define the reputation of their predecessor.The new Scenic's electric power steering has evolved to offer even greater precision and car like comfort.
New Scenic also provides an outstanding range of active and passive safety equipment.The passive safety equipment that forms Renaults third generation System for Restraint and Protection enabled Scenic II to obtain a five-star EuroNCAP crash test rating.All versions of the car come 6 airbags as standard along with Bosch 8.0 ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Emergency Brake Assist with automatic activation of hazard warning lights.
The improvements to the New Scenic 2006 range extend beyond just the car's styling and engines, as is evident from the long list of new features available, including: handsfree Renault Card ,MP3 radio-CD compatibility, extra tinted windows, panoramic fixed or sliding sunroofs and rear parking sensors.
Elsewhere, other features also help to enhance the ease-of-use and pleasure of day-to-day motoring in New Scenic 2007, such as automatic parking brake, rain and light sensors and sliding centre console.
Pricing for the new Scenic 2007 range has been reviewed to produce a highly competitive pricing structure offering more value than ever.
The Scenic and Grand Scenic are priced from €23,650* and €27,100* respectively ,which includes a price reduction of €300 .This new pricing includes a panoramic sunroof and air conditioning as standard on all models at no extra cost.
